Hi, I’m Nicole Adey.
My own journey has had its fair share of personal challenges and adversity.
After experiencing a soul-crushing divorce in early 2021, I lost my dad to cancer later that year. My world turned upside down and, as I tried to juggle a demanding corporate career with being a single parent to two small children, I began to spiral.
I was suppressing my emotions and living in a constant fight or flight mode. It felt like my life was on autopilot and I suffered serious burn-out. I knew something had to change so I decided to leave my job and take a short break.
It was during this break that I discovered I had breast cancer. My diagnosis was like being hit by a bolt of lightning. The shock, along with the intense emotions of fear and guilt, were overwhelming.
Despite the support of everyone around me, I had never felt so scared or alone. I kept my emotions to myself, not wanting to burden those close to me, and quickly fell into an emotional heap.
However, to continue being the best mum I could, I was forced to pick myself up and learn how to move forward. I had no choice but to confront my diagnosis and treatment plan head on. I took one small step at a time. It was the catalyst for, and beginning of, my own personal transformation.
I found myself re-evaluating everything in my life, and started to strip back the layers of self-doubt, guilt, fear, and uncertainty that I’d unknowingly been carrying for many years.
I learned about the importance of the mind-body connection. I went through a process of deep self-discovery and confronted the emotions and behaviours that had been keeping me stuck in a negative pattern for so long. This profoundly shifted the way I looked at, and started to live, my life. I learned the power of self-compassion, the importance of listening to my body, and the life-changing impact of reclaiming my worth. I discovered that true healing begins from within.
My work is now centred on guiding women through life’s toughest transitions, such as divorce, separation, illness, and burnout. I draw on insights from both my personal journey and my professional study in holistic coaching and mind-body practices to offer evidence-based and actionable strategies, transformative techniques, and genuine support. My commitment is to help others reconnect with themselves, rediscover their resilience, and build a growth-focused framework to support them as they move into their next chapter.
